Richard Arthur "Bud" Miller

1943 - 2022

Richard Arthur Miller, 79, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

He was born March 4, 1943, in Norfolk, Nebraska, the son of Harold and Genevieve (Siren) Miller.

Richard was employed as a roofer for Vincent Roofing for 30 years before retiring.

He was a member of Roofer Local Union #20.

Richard married Shirley Toy on March 23, 1962 at the Alma Courthouse. She preceded him death on March 7, 2021.

Survivors include three children, Brenda K. (Lamar) Johnson of Topeka, Robert D. (Linda) Miller of Holton and Jennifer C. Hottman of Hutchinson; grandchildren Daniel Spauldling, Matthew Roberts, Allison Roberts; Lee Atkins; Samantha Wichman and Charli Funk; and great-grandchildren Jordan Roberts; Jacob and Marcie Funk and Lily and Maggie Wichman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Steve Miller and Vivian Kampschroeder.

Richard enjoyed hunting, the mountains and spending time with family. He loved his childhood best friends, Bobby and the late Cheryl Jackson.

Honoring his request, cremation is planned.
